NRR Simulator

A cohort's net revenue retention, its three components, and what a scenario moves.

Twelve-month cohort

R0: annualised recurring revenue of the accounts present on day one. E: upsell, cross-sell, contracted volume increases. Use a point for decimals, e.g. 1.5.

C: downgrades, seat reductions, downward renegotiations. K: revenue from accounts lost outright.

Scenario, in points of R0

One point is 1% of R0. Entries stay in the browser and disappear when the tab is closed.

What this calculation does not say
1. The cohort is closed: no new logo enters it, and total growth stays outside the frame.
2. A lost account whose notice period is still running appears nowhere; it lands in the next period.
3. Expansion shows as an amount, with no cause attached: an indexed price increase looks identical to it and does not repeat the following year.
4. The scenario holds the other components still, whereas badly calibrated upsell pressure on fragile accounts feeds contraction.
